Dance Teaching opportunity
Dance in Tribeca is a new studio in New York that brings dance and diversity for kids and the entire family. It is known for its love of dance, diversity inclusion and passion. Focusing on a collaborative approach to dance and expression, our team helps every dancer reach their individual goals while, most importantly, having fun. We are on a lookout for driven dance teachers to join our dance community.
We are looking for dedicated teachers specializing in various genres. Ideal genres include, but are not limited to, Hip Hop, styles of African Diaspora, Fitness and Children’s dance classes. We are open to other teaching styles as well. To better reflect the community we serve, we strive for diversity in our teaching staff. Your main responsibility will be to build a classroom culture in which students love dance, grow individually and have fun.
Degree in dance preferred but no required.
At least 2 years of dance teaching experience within a diverse age group and educational setting.
Exceptional knowledge of content in the genre of dance
The ideal candidate is someone who has a passion for dance and is able to commit to a consistent schedule.
Energetic and outgoing.
Good at teamwork and individual work.

DANCE IN TRIBECA - INTERNSHIP POSITION
Dance in TriBeca offers the opportunity to earn free dance classes while gaining experience in marketing and arts-administration through ongoing managerial support and feedback. All interns represent Dance in Tribeca during normal operating hours at W 100 Reade Street, NY 10013, as well as at the organization’s programs and events.
We are look for candidates with:
- Maturity and professionalism
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Adherence to Dance in Tribeca values, including respect, diversity, creativity, and entrepreneurship
Intern will assit and take care of general administrative tasks as needed; may include:
- Answering phones and providing information
- Taking rental and class payments
- Marketing reserach
- Running errands
- Helping maintain operations and facilities
- Customer Care
The Internship requires a 3 month commitment of 18 hours per week. Intern receive a small monthly honorarium, unlimited classes and access to discounted and free rehearsal space for their own artistic project. We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds to apply.
